According to tradition this lighthouse got its name from the money the early settlers paid the Indians for the land, others say it was named according to the number of sheep pens (pounds) were on the island. In 1817 Ten Pound Island Light gained attention when several people reported seeing a large sea serpent in the area.

I drew and painted images of horses, seacapes and landscapes. Nature intrigued me then, as it does now.
